So last year I discovered Yin Yoga and I haven’t been to the chiropractor since I started Yin Yoga. I’ve been doing this Yoga now for about a year, I am not sure I am any more flexible but the benefits to my joints and more importantly for me, my mind is vast.
So what exactly is Yin? Well you basically hold a pose for a long period of time. You are not using muscles like in Yang Yoga (Hatha, Kundalini etc) instead you are either seated or lying down with or without blocks, pillows, cushions and holding a slight stretch.
I discovered Bernie Clarke and if I had to recommend anyone its def him, for his knowledge is beyond belief and he takes you through each pose whilst sometimes telling great stories and information about what you are doing.
I subscribe to gaia.com and its a great channel for all yoga practices so I have experienced many different yoga teachers and all are amazing but at the moment Bernie is my fave.
