My Qi Gong Practice

This is me in my little therapy room practicing my Qi Gong.

Qi gong for most people can seem such a boring exercise as it can be slow and mindful movements correlating the breath with each movement. If you find sitting doing meditation boring then this is an upgrade as your meditating on movement and breath.

If you practice a simple 15 minute routine every day, I suggest morning as if your anything like me then you just wont do much at night time. 30 day Challenge (i just love a time limit challenge) You will be able to feel the energy of the body and you are just sure to feel more relaxed after doing this and a little more flexible in the spine which is always a good thing.

Cbd Complementary Therapy for Cancer

CBD as a complementary therapy

The majority of the evidence available suggests that CBD and cannabis therapies may complement cancer treatment. CBD may help people with cancer by:

Stimulating appetite

CBD oil which may help with cancer

CBD oil may help relieve pain and stimulate appetite.

Many people who are going through cancer treatment experience nausea and loss of appetite.

These symptoms can make it difficult for them to maintain a healthy weight.

Ingested cannabis that delivers THC and other cannabinoids to the bloodstream my help stimulate the appetite, but there is no evidence that CBD alone can have this effect.

Pain relief

Both cancer and its treatment can lead to pain. Cancer often causes pain due to inflammation, pressure on internal organs, or nerve injury. When the pain is severe, it can even become resistant to opioids, which are powerful pain relievers.

CBD indirectly acts on the CB2 receptors, which may help with widespread pain relief by reducing inflammation.

Nausea

Cannabis and cannabinoids such as CBD may also be helpful for people with cancer who experience regular nausea and vomiting, especially when this is due to chemotherapy.

However, the antinausea effect appears to come from THC in cannabis, rather than from CBD. People looking to try cannabis to reduce nausea should prepare themselves for the potential psychoactive effects of THC in prescribed cannabis products and discuss them with a doctor.

Many people find relief from low doses of THC. Prescription versions of synthetic THC that have fewer side effects are available.

How CBD Might Control Cancer Cell Growth

CBD gravitates towards the CB2 receptors in the spleen, which is home to the immune system. CB2 is responsible for activating the immune system. CBD is biomimetic to the body’s anandamide, which naturally activates CB2 receptors. That means the body can use CBD and anandamide interchangeably. As such, when an injury, illness, or stress demands more from anandamide than the body can produce, the mimetic CBD is activated. If there is transitory stress, the therapeutic aid will be transitory. If this demand remains, like in the case of cancer, the therapeutic aid provides a sustained pressure of modulating agent on a homeostatic system.

Basically, once CBD gravitates towards the CB2 receptors, it seeks out cancer cells and destroys them. In fact, studies have shown that CBD has the ability to destroy cancer cells directly without the involvement of immune intermediaries. That’s because CBD can hijack the lipoxygenase pathway to inhibit the growth of cancerous tumors directly.

Possible Effects of Using Cannabidiol For Cancer Symptom Relief

The major advantage of using CBD to relieve cancer is the fact that it doesn’t have the side effects associated with strong chemical medications and it won’t make the patient loopy or “high”.  Even more so, it has been proven to have an array of positive effects on cancer patients.

These include:

  • Triggering the death of cancer cells
  • Preventing unhealthy cell division
  • Preventing the growth of tumors in the new blood vessels
  • Reducing the spread of cancer cells throughout the body
  • Speeding up the waste disposal mechanism of the body or autophagy which can cause the death of cells.

All these effects are caused by locking off of CB2 receptors with the use of CBD.

More studies are needed, but it is ALMOST confirmable that cannabidiol can be used as an effective complementary cancer therapeutic aid.

  1. Eat a whole food, anti-inflammatory diet.  Include 8 to 12 servings of fresh vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts, seeds and whole grains every day.  
  • Focus on anti-inflammatory foods including wild fish and other sources of omega-3 fats are flaxseeds and omega-3 eggs, red and purple berries (these are rich in polyphenols); dark green leafy vegetables; orange sweet potatoes; and nuts.
  •  Add anti-inflammatory herbs, including turmeric (a source of curcumin), ginger and rosemary, to your daily diet. Eliminate inflammatory foods such as refined, omega-6 and inflammatory oils, including corn, soy and safflower oils.
  • Check for hidden infections. These include yeast, viruses, bacteria and Lyme.
  • Check for hidden food allergies.  You can go to your doctor or you can get these done online.  Also work with a doctor to look for nutritional deficiencies such as low vitamin D.
  • Test for heavy metal toxicity. Mercury and other metals can cause autoimmunity.
  • Fix your gut. About 60 percent of your immune system lies right under the single-cell-layer lining of your gut. If this surface breaks down, your immune system will get activated and start reacting to foods, toxins and the good bugs in your gut. The easiest way to begin healing your gut involves eating a whole food, anti-inflammatory diet (see tip 1 above) and removing gluten and other foods that cause sensitivities – including corn, dairy, soy.
  • Exercise regularly. Regular exercise is a natural anti-inflammatory. You don’t have to go to the gym, run on a treadmill and pump iron to stay in shape. Just start moving around more. Go for walks with your friends or family. Go out and do some gardening. Play Frisbee in the park with your kids.  Anything you can do to get out and move your body can be considered exercise.
  • Practice deep relaxation. Stress amps up your immune system response. Incorporate calming techniques, such as yoga, deep breathing, biofeedback, or massage, daily to relax.
  • Sleep for 8 hours every night. The research is clear: Lack of sleep, or even poor-quality sleep damages your metabolism, causes cravings for sugar and carbs, makes you eat more and drives up your risk of numerous conditions from diabetes to autoimmune disease. Getting enough sleep and sleeping well are essential for vibrant health and reversing inflammation.
  • Avoid drugs: Almost all of us use drugs every day to manage our energy. These include sugar, caffeine, alcohol and more. Think about taking a “drug holiday” for six weeks and see how much better you feel.
  • Remember feeling well: When I get off track, I simply remember what it is like to feel great and what I must do to get there — eat better, sleep more, exercise more, or do nothing more!

From Navy Man to being Crippled by M.S

American TV personality Montel Williams, who uses medical cannabis to manage his multiple sclerosis symptoms.

Williams, a former naval officer, author, radio and TV talk show host, entrepreneur and wellness advocate, was diagnosed with MS in 1999. He has used cannabis products since then to manage his symptoms. One of his advocacy projects was helping lead a push for military veterans to legally access medical cannabis without the threat of losing their benefits.

I’m not saying we should make it so anyone can smoke whenever they want, but people who truly need this drug should not be punished.

When I used medical marijuana, I found a noticeable difference. It didn’t cause euphoria or anxiety and it took the edge off my pain. I’ve used it since then and will continue to use it until we can come up with a drug that will provide the same benefits.

A lot of the drugs you were given are considered just as addictive as marijuana, if not more so. Why do you think the government is so afraid of medical marijuana?

There’s so much tied up in the lie that’s been perpetuated for close to 100 years. How can a government now go back and say we’ve been wrong the whole time? We allowed a racist person, Harry Anslinger, to attempt to eradicate this drug off the planet. Marijuana was made illegal because of the Marijuana Tax Act, but if you look at the records, he was the biggest advocate for the act and said on the congressional floor that marijuana made white women want to sleep with black people and musicians.

Every study the government did from 1937 through 1964 unequivocally said it was a mistake to make marijuana illegal. Since then, you’ll get some studies that go back and forth, but even but even Gen. Barry McCaffrey said in 1980 that it was wrong to not have marijuana at least available for medicinal use. But the pharmaceutical industry can’t get their cut and until they find a way to do that and have medical marijuana regulated by the FDA, we will still have this problem.

Is It Safe?

CBD oil has been gaining lots of attention when it comes to helping children with autism, sensory processing disorders, anxiety disorders, insomnia, epilepsy and more, and there are many studies, as well as scientific evidence showing that CBD oil can be of benefit for various kinds of health issues affecting children.

Many sites document successful experiments in treating children using CBD Oil. Although more research still needs to be done, findings so far indicate that CBD is safe for children.

Children are actually exposed to external sources of cannabinoids quite frequently, even as early as birth through their mother’s breast milk which is an abundant source of endocannabinoids, and which assists with infant development. So cannabinoids are not new to the body system of a child, and it has had a huge role to play in child development.

CBD oil is known to assist the body in creating more of its own cannabinoids which in turn aid the body in operating properly. We should note that CBD is a form of Cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. It’s different from another Cannabinoid known as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the ingredient that gives that high or stoned feeling when ingested.

Since there are no psychoactive properties in a true CBD hemp oil, children are not at risk of getting that “high” feeling associated with cannabis products heavy in the cannabinoid cousin THC. Apart from the notable reduction in seizures, Ava’s parents also saw a noticeable improvement in her overall well being and cognitive ability.  “she was standing up straighter” her mother says. “She was making more eye contact and the next thing, in a family joke, Ava was giggling just like the other kids. She had never laughed like that before.

Final Thoughts

As of now, since research has not proven otherwise, there is absolutely no harm in administering CBD oil to children who really need it. It has been said to be completely safe as it doesn’t cause stunted growth either physically or mentally.

Studies have shown that CBD is a safe alternative for children who need medication. This was made official by the World Health Organization in December 2017 after conducting extensive research. The WHO stated that it found no adverse risks in using CBD, and proclaimed it as of “relatively low toxicity” and having “a good safety profile”.

The majority, and by that i mean the average and underachieving among us, think PRIMARILY in the past.

“this person wronged me in the past, and that’s why I’m not where i want to be”

 

Living in the moment is not always easy. Sometimes our thoughts are overwhelmed by regrets about past events or anxiety about the future, which can make it hard to enjoy the present. If you are having a hard time living in the moment, there are some simple strategies that may help. There are little things that you can do throughout your day, such as creating a mindfulness cue, learning to meditate, and performing random acts of kindness

The successful one however thinks ONLY in THE NOW and into the FUTURE
THEY SET GOALS INTO THE FUTURE. Clear targets to push them forward… To light their fire within and give them PASSION for living.
THEY VISUALIZE THE RESULTS coming to reality into the future…

They see the FUTURE reward, not the initial struggle to bring it to life.
NOT ‘what i have to go through to get there’ but ‘How will i feel when i get there’!
And the only way to get to the future, to the big reward, is to have powerful action in the NOW. In this powerful present moment.
