My Qi Gong Practice

This is me in my little therapy room practicing my Qi Gong.

Qi gong for most people can seem such a boring exercise as it can be slow and mindful movements correlating the breath with each movement. If you find sitting doing meditation boring then this is an upgrade as your meditating on movement and breath.

If you practice a simple 15 minute routine every day, I suggest morning as if your anything like me then you just wont do much at night time. 30 day Challenge (i just love a time limit challenge) You will be able to feel the energy of the body and you are just sure to feel more relaxed after doing this and a little more flexible in the spine which is always a good thing.

Let me know what you think, there is many more Qi Gong videos to follow on youtube so please dont just follow mine.

CBD AND SKIN CANCER

Image result for cbd and skin cancer

So, where does the connection between CBD and skin cancer begin? A number of studies have found a link between CBD, the body’s endocannabinoid system, and gene regulation that prevents cancer growth. Here’s an overview of the pertinent research.

CBD contains substances known as cannabinoids, natural compounds that interact with the receptors of the endocannabinoid system. This network of receptors is scattered across the body, where it regulates a wide array of functions that include mood, pain and inflammation, and cell growth. When the abnormal cells that cause skin cancer grow, the endocannabinoid system isn’t functioning properly.

Studies have shown that CBD can help endocannabinoid receptors return to normal function and halt the progress of skin cells that are turning cancerous. Early evidence indicates that cannabinoids work to “regulate cell-survival and cell-death pathways differently in tumor and non-tumor cells,” suggesting that compounds like CBD can possibly be used to target cancerous growths without damaging healthy cells. A 2013 study reported that 90% of skin cancers could be mitigated using synthetic cannabinoids. In this preliminary research, CBD has shown promising results in preventing the growth and metastasization of cancer cells, providing a potential alternative to traditional treatments like chemotherapy without harmful side effects.

It’s important to note that many of these studies have been conducted on animals, and research on the link between CBD and skin cancer remains in the very early stages of development. One 2017 report noted that “preliminary studies have suggested cannabis and its derivatives might have use in acne, dermatitis, pruritus, wound healing, and skin cancer. Further well-controlled studies are required to explore these potential uses.”

How To Use CBD Oil For Skin Cancer

CBD oil can be administered to a patient in a variety of ways. There are tinctures, which can be squirted under the tongue for quick absorption via the mucous membranes. Tincture oil can also be applied directly to the skin for absorbtion.

CBD capsules and candy edibles are also available that work from the inside out.

Topical application means that the CBD oil would mainly interact with the upper levels of the epidermis. On the other hand, taking CBD orally will allow the compound to reach more throughout the body.

It is important to note that an oral route of administration would result in higher overall levels of CBD in the patient’s bloodstream.

Qi gong – just do it

As a reiki practicioner, qi gong is a game changer for both myself and my clients.. The only way to know what i am talking about is to do qi gong daily.  Even a ten minute a day qi gong routine can really change up your life

In short, qi can be thought of as being a sort of life force that exists in all living things.

As a result, qigong is something of a catch-all term for the practices used to cultivate qi in the practitioner as well as bring it into balance at the same time.

In more practical terms, qigong

encompasses a number of practices that range from massage and meditation to breathing exercises and flowing movements.

All coming together to align both mind and body in accordance with ancient Chinese beliefs about the role of humans in the cosmos.

Why Qi Gong Helps with Reiki

I have been studying reiki since 2006 and love to  read as much as I can about Energy Healing and have a lovely reiki client base.  However  It wasn’t until I started practicing qi gong that I really began to develop my own Reiki practice and really feel the energy in every aspect of my body. .  The energy we all have within us is  effected everyday by our thoughts, food, environment and the people around us. Our much more sedentary lifestyle causes energy blockages within our body which leads to Chi—also known as prana, the warm current, Kundalini power, or the electromagnetic life force to get blocked.

“When was the last time you marveled at the simple fact that you are breathing and your heart is beating?” —Mantak Chia

The ancient Taoist masters spent a lot of time observing the flow of this “chi,” which they recognized as the breath of the universe that moves through everything. Chi is the glue between our body, mind, and spirit, the link between our perception of the inner and outer worlds. Living close to nature with few of the distractions of modern civilization, the Taoists were able to map in fine detail the workings of the chi energy both within the human body and in the world at large.

Practicing Qi Gong on a daily basis benefits

Releases and removes energy blockages on all levels (spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical).
Realigns energy flow that can be used to promote positive thinking.
Harmonizes energy centers thus helping to ease stress and balance emotions. Movements in Qigong can be refined to address a particular stressful emotion, be it grief, depression, irritability, frustration or any combination.
Restores the natural energy balance activating the body’s natural ability to perform self-healing and strengthens the immune system.
Increases vital energy and helps cleanse body toxins.
Creates a state of balance in the vital energy.

If you are a reiki practitioner  I would highly recommend incorporating Qi Gong into your daily reiki routine.  It encompasses meditation, breathing , movement and really helps you to keep your energy flowing and your mind focused which all enables you to be a better reiki or energy healer.

Videos I recommend following if you cannot attend a local Qi Gong Class

I love the above routine, the birds in the background makes this one so relaxing.  This is a great one for when you first wake up in the morning

Lee Holden is great, he has some amazing courses on Udemy which I have completed and his short videos are great to do at any time of the day.

Qi gong Power – I love this one.  If you think Qi gong is too slow for you, then try and keep up with this.  Once you watch it a few times I tend to fast forward the first part to each segment and just get straight into it.

I feel like I am in another world when I do this video,  it makes me feel like a warrior in training at the Shaolin Temple.  One day….I may just get there…

I hope you enjoy and let me know if you do any of the videos and what you think….I shall pop up some of my own videos later this year once I complete my training courses.  EEK…..(goal,vision,passion)

Dr Joe Dispenza Guided Meditation

The purpose of meditation is to slow down your brain waves and get beyond the thinking, analytical mind. What I want you to understand is that you already know how to do this, because you do it every day.

If you can begin your practice with the understanding that all you’re doing is relaxing your body (just like when you’re falling asleep) while keeping your mind conscious and awake—and if you can continuously move deeper into this state of relaxation while focusing on nothing (or not thinking)—you’ve just opened the doorway between the conscious and subconscious mind.

Your Past does Not Define You

Your PAST doesn’t define you.
What you do NOW defines you!

If you study the habits and traits of highly successful people, and the average or unsuccessful it is impossible not to see clear differences in their habits and thinking…
One of the biggest differences lie in THINKING and LIVING in the PAST, or planning into the FUTURE.

The majority, and by that i mean the average and underachieving among us, think PRIMARILY in the past.

“this is what happened to me, and if this didn’t happen to me i would be where i want to be today”
“i should have done this in the past, and now it’s too late”
“this person wronged me in the past, and that’s why I’m not where i want to be”

Living in the moment is not always easy. Sometimes our thoughts are overwhelmed by regrets about past events or anxiety about the future, which can make it hard to enjoy the present. If you are having a hard time living in the moment, there are some simple strategies that may help. There are little things that you can do throughout your day, such as creating a mindfulness cue, learning to meditate, and performing random acts of kindness

The successful one however thinks ONLY in THE NOW and into the FUTURE
THEY SET GOALS INTO THE FUTURE. Clear targets to push them forward… To light their fire within and give them PASSION for living.
THEY VISUALIZE THE RESULTS coming to reality into the future…

They see the FUTURE reward, not the initial struggle to bring it to life.
NOT ‘what i have to go through to get there’ but ‘How will i feel when i get there’!
And the only way to get to the future, to the big reward, is to have powerful action in the NOW. In this powerful present moment.

All successful people know that each positive and productive present moment leads to a positive and successful FUTURE moment.

Use your past as fuel to take you wherever you need to go!
If you ever look back, make sure it is only to DRIVE YOU FORWARD!

Don’t blame others for YOUR situation. Rely on YOURSELF to create a new situation.

Your FUTURE starts TODAY not tomorrow. Plan now, live now!

Don’t let your PAST define YOUR FUTURE!
Don’t you dare let PAST failures get in the way of your FUTURE success!

It doesn’t matter what happened in the past. The only thing that matters is what you are going to do RIGHT NOW! What are you going to do right now?!

A great article about living in the moment  –

Patent No. 6630507, held by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, covers the use of cannabinoids for treating a wide range of diseases.

Under U.S. federal law, marijuana is defined as having no medical use. So it might come as a surprise to hear that the government owns one of the only patents on marijuana as a medicine.

The patent (US6630507) is titled “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants” and was awarded to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in October 2003.

It was filed four years earlier, in 1999, by a group of scientists from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The government’s patent does not cover THC, the main ingredient in marijuana. On the other hand, cannabidiol (CBD) is specifically mentioned as an example of a cannabinoid that is covered. The patent describes CBD and other non-psychoactive cannabinoids as superior when taken in higher doses.

“Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidiol, are particularly advantageous to use because they avoid toxicity that is encountered with psychoactive cannabinoids at high doses.”

According to the description, CBD can be ingested in very large amounts without side effects.

“No signs of toxicity or serious side effects have been observed following chronic administration of cannabidiol to healthy volunteers, even in large acute doses of 700mg/day.”

The patent explains that cannabidiol previously had not been considered useful as a neuroprotectant. However, it cites various studies on cannabidiol as an antiepileptic and as a potential treatment for glaucoma.

Dan Milman – The Four Purposes of Life

“Where are you? … HERE”
“What time is it? … NOW”
“What are you? … THIS MOMENT.”

Just watching Dan Millman on the Four Purposes of Life on Gaia.com and he has some great insights to how we travel throughout our life.  I love his books and need to just re read them all the time so I can have these golden nuggets of wisdom sink into my brain.  Some of the following are the lessons I have learned from Dan so far.

Its fine to dream BIG but start small and take small steps at a time.  So if you want to start meditating then start with just a few minutes a day.  A little of something is better than a lot of nothing.

What is my Purpose?? – There are four of them – Career (Income) *Our Calling – Do what you love * (Time stands still or speeds up) Our life path or Hidden Calling – (our calling is what we may have pushed back) * attending to this arising moment.

While experience and wisdom is important, in the Way of the Peaceful Warrior, Socrates teaches Dan that there’s a difference between Knowing and Doing. You can know what to do or understand something, but you don’t really KNOW it until you’re DOING it.

I can relate to this with my meditation practice and my reiki healing practice.  Sometimes I can sit and read and reread and write out plans etc but without the practice then it really means very little.  Recently I enrolled in a raw food course and wrote out a lot of recipes and shopping lists and was so pumped about starting this journey.  But after a few days I was back to eating cooked processed foods so I started to read up again and watch youtube videos on raw food all whilst eating cooked food and feeling so deflated and disappointed in myself.  So this in my life is teaching me that I can read as much as I like but without putting it into practice it does not bring me inner joy or contentment.

A big theme in the Way of the Peaceful Warrior that Socrates instills in Dan is the power of NOW. The only time that matters is RIGHT NOW, this moment.  This moment is all that we have. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow doesn’t exist. But, the problem with most people is that we live in our heads. We live in either the past or the future.

All stress and fear exists in either the past or the future. In fact, fear is just anticipation of pain. If you can truly live in the moment and get out of your head, you can be free of all of the garbage in your head and perform at levels you never thought possible. Not only that, but you can be at peace.

Peaceful Warrior Dan Millman

Being in the moment is a practice. It’s a practice that Dan focuses on throughout the book that changes his life for the better. He shares his experiences learning meditation and learning to be more and more present. There’s one part in the book where Socrates throws Dan over a bridge into the water, just to clear his mind. He then describes to Dan how there are no ordinary moments – that there is never nothing going on.  The truth is, there is so many amazing things going on at any given moment, but we’re too much inside of our heads to notice it.

The lesson here is simple: nothing in your outer world will ever make you happy or fulfilled. Happiness can only come from the inside. When you truly come to this realization and stop deluding yourself, you can gain that sense of peace and satisfaction within.
