Hello 4.30am World

I wake up early everyday, it is something I have always done. I just love the morning, the peace and quiet and the feeling I am the only one in the world awake, it is so magical. However I decided that I would awaken even earlier for the next few weeks and see what I can accomplish.

So today 430 I quietly rolled out of bed and headed to the living room encased in a large cosy blanket (heating is set for 6am – bloody freezing so will change timer 2moro). I got my yoga blocks ready and did an hour and half of yin yoga, then preceded to do half hour of reiki self healing.

I am sipping on lemon water whilst listening to my guinea pigs snore, my dog looking so comfortable on my new couch..sneaky girl…and the sky changing many times throughout this peaceful morning.

I am wondering already if I will need a nap this afternoon, as I didn’t quite make it to sleep till about 11.

I have enjoyed this time so far as it’s hard to get so much peace in a house full of children.

Now I shall get my chilled out ass up and rally the troops for breakfast. Goodbye peaceful world and we shall meet again same time 2moro. Yawn xx

5 Principles of Reiki

The 5 Reiki Principles
Just for today I will not worry.
Just for today I will not be angry.
Just for today I will do my work honestly.
Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today I will be kind to my neighbour and every living thing.

The Reiki principles are spiritual ideals. By adopting these precepts you will add balance and substance to your life. It is important that you realise that you are not expected to live every moment of your life within the framework of these ideals. As humans we are all imperfect, and that is why each principle begins with “Just for today.” You can without pressure or stress work on improving yourself daily. If you slip up today, you can always begin again tomorrow. The more you work with the principles, the more you will condition yourself to adopt them as a way of life.
To become more familiar with the Reiki principles it is advisable to read them aloud at least twice a day. You may wish to place a large copy of the ideals in a picture frame. Then you could position the copy in a prominent place where you are sure to see it each day, or if you are going to practise Reiki professionally, place it in your healing room. The Five Reiki principles mean different things to each one of us. Meditation will help to unlock your own perceptions.
Simply sit or lie down in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Repeat one of the ideals several times aloud using it as a mantra. As you drift into a meditative state become aware of what happening inside your mind and body. You may experience many different feelings, emotions and thoughts. If you do this exercise in a group share your experiences and write down everything that happened during the meditation. It is interesting to look at your notes on this exercise on a regular basis to see how you have grown by adopting these precepts. Repeat the exercise of meditating on each principle annually and compare notes or if in a group setting discuss the differences that have taken place.

Just For Today I Will Not Worry

Worry causes stress and anxiety leading to an imbalance of the mind body and spirit and blockage to the root chakra.
The best way to overcome worry is to accept that all of us are faced with difficulties and setbacks in our lives. How we respond to them determines how we ultimately lead our lives.
If you choose to respond negatively by getting upset and anxious towards one of life’s setbacks you have chosen to damage the balance of your mind body and spirit.
If you respond positively by accepting the setback as an opportunity to learn you can live a happier and more fulfilling life.
Allow yourself time each day to really laugh and have fun. Watch a funny movie or television show. Read a humorous book or magazine. Whatever it takes to make you laugh — do it. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Man surrounds himself with images of himself.” This wonderful pearl of wisdom teaches us that if you want to be happy mix with happy people. Likewise if you want to be negative and constantly worrying you simple need to associate with people who are negative and worrisome.

Laughter is a wonderful healer. It has been proven through numerous studies that laughter can heal and in some cases prevent life threatening illnesses. Use this knowledge to live a healthier and longer life. Take responsibility for how you deal with life’s setbacks. Have fun — life’s too short to waste it worrying.
Use Reiki to re-balance your mind body and spirit and boost your resolve. Place one hand on the root chakra and the other hand on the heart chakra. Reiki will bring your mind body and spirit into equilibrium. Keep your hands over these chakra points for as long as you intuitively feel you need to. This Reiki technique will remove the blockages caused by stress, worry and anxiety. It can be used for self healing or on another person.

Just For Today I Will Not Be Angry

Anger is an emotion. When we get angry we lose control of that emotion. In order to live by the above principle we must understand what triggers our anger and how we can choose to remove this destructive emotion from our being.
In every confrontation that leads to anger the person or thing pushing your anger button has complete power and control over you.
This simple realisation allows you to take back control of your emotions and as such you can now choose to respond to a situation in a positive way rather than react to a situation in a negative way.
Every time you meet someone there is an exchange of energy. If you are both happy and find the meeting was enjoyable then the energy exchange is neutral. However, if you lose control of your emotions and become angry, the other person steals your energy. Likewise, if someone gets angry at you then you are stealing their energy.
With this simple philosophy you can counter the endless situations or people that in the past have triggered your anger and caused you to react in an unhealthy manner. Next time someone honks their car horn at you or criticises you for no apparent reason smile and say to yourself I am not going to let you steal my energy.
Just imagine how much better you will feel when you choose not to react to negative people or situations. How many times in the past have you shouted abuse at another car driver and still felt the anger in your stomach an hour or so later. That person stole your energy. They probably drove on laughing at how silly you looked when you lost your composure. You allowed them to cause you stress, anger and probably indigestion. Only one person came out of this confrontation with their energy intact and it wasn’t you.
Anger is a choice response. Decide each day not to allow your energy to be stolen from you by negative people or situations. On a physical level anger can cause stomach and digestive disorders. Choose to live a healthier life free from anger.
Use Reiki to assist the re-balancing process. Place one hand on the third eye chakra and the other hand on the root chakra. Keep your hands there for as long as you intuitively feel is necessary. This Reiki technique will help you control and eliminate this destructive emotion. It can be used for self healing or on another person.

Just For Today I Will Do My Work Honestly

Honesty means different things to different people. Many people feel it is fine to take home a few pens from the office, the company turn over millions in profit each year so they can afford to lose a few items of stationery.
While another person will judge the same incident as an act of theft and believe that anyone found stealing stationery should be dismissed and charged with theft and even prosecuted.
Everyone at some point is dishonest. You may not steal from another person or company, but instead steal from yourself.
For example if you a have a talent to help people and you choose not to then you are stealing from yourself by denying your gift.
You are also stealing from the people who could benefit from your talents. Wasting your time on meaningless pursuits such as watching television for hours each day is stealing from your sacred and special time on Earth. Try to live your life to the best of your ability as honestly as you can. Honesty lives inside of you and doesn’t care about being placed where others can view it.
Finally, in your pursuit of a happier life I urge you to encapsulate the words from Michael Landon (the father in the television series “Little house on the Prairie”) in his last interview before he died prematurely of cancer. He urged us to “Live Every Second”.
Place one hand on the third eye chakra and the other hand on the solar plexus chakra to use Reiki to assist in the re-balancing of this principle. Keep your hands there for as long as you intuitively think they need to remain on these chakra points. This additional hand position can be used for healing yourself or other people.

Just For Today I Will Give Thanks For My Many Blessings

Life tends to give us what we need, it may not be what we want but it will be what we need. Karmicly throughout our lives we receive what we need to grow and learn in this lifetime.
If we grasp these lessons and grow accordingly we will become spiritually enlightened. Instead of wasting your life complaining of the things that have happened to you, and the problems you face.
Step back for a moment on a regular basis and discover and appreciate the many blessings in your life.
Make a list of all your blessings. You will be amazed at how many wonderful things there are to give thanks for. Leave the materialistic things aside. They are shallow and meaningless. Pay attention to, and focus on the things that are free and bring joy and humility to your life. For example, your mind, body, spirit, health, family, friends, flowers, trees, sea, sun, love, faith, knowledge, the countryside, animals, birds, etc., the list is endless.
When you appreciate the true wonders of life and let go of the materialistic things you are bound to enjoy your life more.
Place one hand on the third eye chakra and the other hand on the occipital ridge. Use Reiki to re-balance this principle in your life or in the life of another person.

Just For Today I Will Be Kind to My Neighbour and Every Living Thing

The law of karma states that what goes around comes around. Send out love and you will receive love back in return. Send out kindness and you will receive kindness. Send out healing and you receive healing. Send out positive thoughts and you will receive positive results.
Karma is a two edge sword. Send out negative thoughts and you will get negative results. Living within this precept will give you a happier and less stressful life full joy peace and love.
To bring balance to this principle for yourself or others first place one hand on the third eye chakra and the other hand on the root chakra. When you feel you are ready, move your hand from the third eye chakra to the throat chakra, and move your hand from the root chakra to the heart chakra keeping it there until you intuitively feel you have finished.
It is important to remember that the Reiki principles are only guides for a happier and more fulfilling life. Use meditation to unlock the true meaning of these precepts and incorporate them into your life. They will tranceform your life.

Heavenly Energy

Once connected to the Earths Energy, the next on to practice is connecting to the Heavenly Energy.  Just the same way we connected to the Earths Energy we use the same process to connect to the Heavenly Energy.  The symbolic body part that holds the Heavenly energy is the head.  Emanating from the Heavens is a light and this is Heaven energy, it is less physical than Earth energy.  The clarity of this energy aids the practice of stillness within which we remember our spiritual connection.

This is an Active Meditation.

  1. Stand up feet hip width apart, gaze gently at the floor whilst spine is erect and arms comfortably positioned at the side of your body.
  2. Visualise above your head a bright ball of energy.  This beautiful ball is drawing on the energy of heaven, it is light and bright and the ball is filled with a magnificent ethereal energy.
  3. Breathe in, and as you do so raise your hands and clasp the ball of bright light and then bring the ball of heavenly energy down the centre of the body to the Hara, hold it there as you pause and feel yourself filling with heavenly energy, then as you breathe out through the crown to rest above your head.. Do this 4 more times.
  4. Stand in the space of Heavenly energy, its brightness and lightness, its clarity, and when you are ready seat yourself back down and stay in your meditative place whilst you reflect of you experience of this Heavenly Energy.th2U7GJZ1D

 

REIKI PRACTICTIONER DAILY PRACTICE

You can use all of these steps, or some of them, and feel free to add or continue those actions that have already worked well in your life.

Sit in a relaxed, meditational position.

Get in touch with Earth energy for grounding — imagine you have roots growing down from the base of your spine (root chakra) all the way to the centRE of the Earth, connecting you securely with Mother Earth.

Draw the symbols that you are attuned to into the palm of each hand.

Place your palms over each chakra, beginning at the crown and working down. Skip the third eye but when you have reached the root, place one hand on the root chakra (your back, bottom of spine) and the other on your forehead over the third eye area.

As you place your palms on each chakra, take a deep Hara breath (breathe all the way down to the belly) and envision that the symbols are entering that particular chakra and filling your entire being with their energy.

Do Kenyoku (dry bathing) technique to dislodge any negative energy and make way for positive energy.

Go into Gassho position and recite the 5 Reiki Precepts three times slowly, reflecting on them as you state them.

Do a personal “invocation” or “invitation” to Reiki to fill your being and your living space. Ask to be surrounded by healing light as you go about the tasks of your day.

Give thanks to Reiki for being part of your life and for healing you.

Take a few deep cleansing breaths, let your face and heart smile — and you are ready to begin your day!

 

 

Clearing energies

Detoxing the energy of your mind, body, and spirit can do much more than clear a few heavy vibes. It can change the way you see your day, your life, your experiences, and your relationships. But what exactly is an energetic detox?

Recieving regular reiki whether by a practitioner or from yourself can do wonders for your energy levels

Some days, you may not even realize that your energy was heavy or you felt off until the day is almost over. That’s OK. The more you practice these body scans and detoxes, the easier it will become to cleanse your mental, physical, and spiritual energy.

Clearing mental space

Before you start your day, take a few moments to connect to your mental, emotional energy, noticing what comes up. These tools can help you do it:

1. Essential oils

I always recommend smelling a few drops of orange or peppermint essential oil to cleanse and open the mind first thing in the morning or during the midday slump. This can help clear any dusty energy left over from a poor night’s sleep or the grogginess that sets in halfway through the day.

2. Energetic movements

If you already have a yoga or fitness regimen, that’s great. Another way to move energy during the day is by simply making some arm circles or doing a few lunges to get the blood circulating.

3. EFT

For those of you who haven’t tried emotional freedom technique (aka tapping/EFT), give it a try and see if it helps soothe the mind’s anxieties, worry, fears, and overall negative, unhelpful vibes. Tapping has been known to help relief stress, anxiety, and bring clarity to the mind.

Clearing physical space

How do you feel when you walk through the front door of your home? Are you energized, light, and open? Or heavy, cluttered, and depleted? If it’s the latter, it might be time to give some of these tools a try:

1. Sage smudge sticks

Light some sage or palo santo and carry it around your space with the intention of dissolving any negative, unserving, or heavy vibrations. Once you’ve done a walk-through, thank the space for its guidance and set a prayer for what you want to call into it. Then, burn some incense to help lift and energize the space with your prayer.

2. Decluttering

If it’s been a while since you’ve gone through your desk, office, closet, or shed, take a few hours and get decluttering. By letting things go in your home, you’ll release stagnant energy in the body as well.

3. Crystals

If you have the ability to spend a little money (or a lot, depending on your stone!), consider place crystals around your home, bedroom, office, and car to keep their energies protected, cleansed, and uplifted. I recommend amethyst near the bed for dreams, rose or crystal quartz inside the bedroom for love, and tiger’s-eye and black tourmaline on the desk to bring clarity of thought.

Clearing spiritual space

Remembering the triad of mind, body, and spirit can help you move the negative space in your life and start attracting all that you desire and intend. Here are a few techniques for cleansing your spiritual clutter:

1. Disconnecting

Let’s say you’ve just completed a task or project, finished an intense meeting with someone, or had an interaction that lingers. Now, it’s time to close the energetic connection. Lift your arms up like you’re going to make a big circle, then cross them in front of the chest making an X. This energetic technique closes the energy between two connected beings or things.

2. Breath detox

If you are feeling tired, sore, depleted, or heavy in the morning or at night, place your hands on your heart and send some love and light into your body through a round of five deep inhales and exhales. Fill your essence and energy up by simply being with yourself and your breath. I find doing ten minutes of slow deep breathing to be very energising

3. Morning ritual

Setting an intention for yourself for the day. This helps clear my mindset, focus my energy, and bust through lingering negativity.

REIKI – Anxiety and Panick

 I have been practicing Reiki for 10 years and use Reiki in my daily life.  I use reiki on my family/pets/food/plants and of course myself.  I find it gives me a sense of being present and when practiced daily you too will find the wonderful benefits of this calming treatment.

 My own personal experience with Reiki has been my own unique journey and yours will be too.  Reiki came into my life when I needed it the most, when I was experiencing anxiety and panick attacks

Looking back on my  journey now I am so thankful that I had experienced these anxieties within my past as it is a part of my journey.  Reiki and Mindfulness Meditation has made me face myself, my fears and emotions that I buried inside my subconscious mind.  During my time with reiki I have gone through many emotions myself and discovered a lot about the way my mind works. 

I felt a fake at times as I was experiencing anxiety and I was the one trying to help people.  This lead me to delve a lot deeper into how the mind works (chimp paradox- mind management book  – highly recommend this one if you experience negative emotions surfacing) along with daily practice of reiki and meditation.

 

You don’t need to have health problems to be a great Reiki Master but what I will tell you is that throughout your own life’s journey with Reiki you will experience many different emotions and revelations within yourself. 

 

Reiki is not just a course you do then you get a certificate and that’s you a Reiki Master.  This is a lifelong commitment that you make to yourself to fully immerse yourself into this. 

 

I must admit I didn’t understand this at all when I did my Reiki one and Two.  I thought it was just a nice course I could do to help myself and get money from people to help them. 

 

It is so much more than this.   It is a way of life, a daily practice, it really does make you a better person if you truly want to be.  Everyone wants to grow both emotionally, physically and spiritually and with Reiki you will grow in all areas of your life.

21 day Reiki Cleanse

 

Reiki is an extremely powerful tool for healing. Often people consider Reiki a therapy to learn so that they can treat others. They overlook the fact that Reiki is first and foremost a self-healing tool. This is exactly what I found on my journey with reiki.

I started out learning reiki to add to my list of therapies for healing others, never did I imagine how it would affect me. I heard from people it is a lifestyle but my first few years with reiki was on and off and I never fully understood this, until more recently. I believe in everyone’s life you can rediscover things you already knew but they can take on a whole new meaning. What is for you will definitely not go past you.

Reiki teaches you to be the best version of yourself.

All too often we live in a state of imbalance. We eat processed foods complete with chemicals and toxins. We lead very busy lives and fail to take time out to relax. We also don’t sleep sufficiently, then we try to counter our tiredness with caffeine and when we do want to relax we can use substances such as food, chocolate, alcohol and cigarettes to assist that relaxation. All of which add to the levels of toxins in our bodies.

Once Reiki begins to work it will redress the imbalance, hence the clearing process. For example, after your Reiki attunement, you may find you have a thirst you can’t quench and therefore have to drink copious amounts of water. This is Reiki’s way of helping us to clear the toxins from our bodies. The cleansing process helps to clear away all sorts of imbalances and blockages that we have. This includes all mental, emotional and physical aspects.
When we have lived our lives in a state of imbalance for so long, it will begin to feel normal. When that balance is shifted, we can struggle with that change and begin to feel emotions and physical symptoms that we don’t feel comfortable with. This is just our body’s way of dealing with the change. Everyone has their own experience of Reiki and no two people are exactly the same but often people report experiencing/feeling:-
• Irritable
• Emotional (highs and lows)
• Detached (and wanting to spend time alone)
• Serene Calmness
• Shaky
• Nauseous
• Fatigued
• Symptoms of physical detoxification such as extreme thirst
• Vivid dreams

I have experienced anxiety and confusion which lead me to believe I was a fake and a failure and how could I possibly help anyone else if I can’t even help myself.

Then I reminded myself over and over again of the precepts and I noticed that I was not being compassionate towards myself. The quietening of the mind and rebalancing of the chakras had brought out unresolved issues that I was now able to deal with. This can put people off from learning reiki and mediation but until we learn to face our dark side we can never truly overcome it. With practice, the faith and belief that reiki is within us and is here for only our higher good we can know that we are never alone and are all part of the energy field of reiki.

Reiki will work on bringing your chakras into balance throughout this cleansing process. It will begin with your base chakra and work its way through all the others until it reaches the crown chakra. It takes around 3 days for the energy to move through each of the 7 chakras and this is the reason for the clearing taking approximately 21 days.

In order to help yourself through this clearing process I would suggest that you:-
• Make time to treat yourself with Reiki every day.
• Drink plenty of water
• Reduce, or cut out, your intake of processed foods and eat a well balanced diet.
• Reduce, or cut out, your intake of toxins such as alcohol, nicotine and caffeine.
• Keep a journal so that you can monitor your progress. Record your thoughts and emotions, often this can help with a release of any mental or emotional blockages.
As you are attuned to each level of Reiki you will experience a cleansing process and may find that you experience similar symptoms, but equally you could have a very different experience each time.
Please do not read the above and worry about this process. It is important to know that Reiki always works for your highest and greatest good, so trust what is happening, because Reiki will always know what is right for you.
The Cleansing Process

Everybody experiences different symptoms during cleansing. Just like when you start cleaning dusty areas, the dust first rises up in the air, a Reiki attunement causes the negativities to be released from our body via minor problems.
Depending on the degree you have been attuned to, your cleansing process might involve minor physical, emotional or spiritual problems. After any attunement, have complete faith and watch what happens for the first 21 days. There might be some discomfort, but that is no cause for alarm. You will slowly start feeling more and more comfortable as days pass after the cleansing period.

Daily Practice
The importance of daily practice cannot be over-stressed. We are surrounded all day by germs, negative thoughts and emotions, and energy-snatching components. By the end of the day, we pick up negative energies and our energy level is also low because people, events and thoughts have siezed it from us.
Daily practice is a way to fill up on this lost energy and cleanse the accumulated negativities. Even though a major portion of the cleansing takes place in the first 21 days, the subsequent days also add towards the cleansing. It takes about three months for the true effects of Reiki to start showing. Daily practice not only makes you healthier physically, but adds to your progress mentally, spiritually and in other aspects of your life as well.

Short-cut Self Healing
The more one practices Reiki everyday, the better it is for that person. However, there are some days when we are too tired to complete the entire procedure, and we are tempted to skip the self-healing altogether. On such days, there is an alternative way.
There are seven main chakras in our body, and typically, we heal the front and back of these chakras, along with a few more points. When we have too little time, we may heal only the front of these seven chakras. Considering that you heal each chakra for three minutes each, the practice will be over in 21 minutes. If they are healed for two minutes each, the entire self healing will be over in 15 minutes.
If you are practicing short-cut self healing on two consecutive days, on the second day, heal the back of the chakras instead of the front – this will help keep your energy more balanced.
This technique should be used only occasionally and you must try to practice the complete self healing as much as possible, Complete self healing should be practiced
ATLEAST twice a week.
Time contraints are only in the mind, and if you make Reiki a priority, you will never have too little time for Reiki. Practice Reiki when you’re in the bus, while watching television, while on the phone, or in meetings. If you are embarrased to keep your hands on the chakras, place your hands on your knees and give Reiki.

 

The Effect of Reiki
Daily practice is extremely beneficial to a channel. It is almost as if a guiding light constantly monitors your progress and well-being. At times, we find that our friend circle is changing, for Reiki causes people who don’t contribute to our progress to drift away, and attracts those people who contribute to our progress in some way. Some describe the feeling as a soft blanket keeping them safe and warm all the time.
Reiki takes you in the direction that you want to go. While some people experience gigantic leaps in their spiritual journey, others remain in the same state for years. It is up to you to make a conscious effort to determine what matters the most to you in your life, and work in that direction. Reiki will accelerate your progress in that direction.

One needs to have faith in Reiki that whatever is happening to us, is for our own good alone. Becoming a Reiki channel does not mean that you will never have any problems again, or that you will never fall sick again. Problems and pitfalls are often triggers for our progress, and if they are needed, you will be blessed with them. The advantage with Reiki is, it helps you get back up on your feet faster.
Reiki does not work for negative intentions. If you wish bad for somebody and send Reiki to harm him/ her, it will not work. Think positive and wish everyone well.

 

 

How Does Distance Reiki Work?

A distance healing session can be done in a number of ways. The practitioner can:

Use visualization
Use a projection of Reiki energy (beaming)
Use any combination of these methods

Sending Distance Reiki
To send distance Reiki energy to someone else, you must be attuned into a second degree Reiki. Visualize the person you are sending the energy to. Draw the Dai Ko Myo, Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen, Sei He Ki, and Cho Ku Rei. Draw each symbol three times.
Sit in a quiet place, where you will be undisturbed. Focus on sending energy to the person, and focus on his or her name as you do this. Keep your intent on sending energy for 10 to 20 minutes. Send the energy without a specific location – don’t focus on trying to heal a patient’s headache. Allow the energy to move freely and go to where it needs to go to provide the healee with the most benefit.
To receive Reiki distance healing, you don’t have to do anything, but it’s best to lie quiet and still if possible. You and your healer can agree upon a time together beforehand, and you’ll either sit or lie down for a certain amount of time, typically a half hour or so.

Keep in mind, each Reiki Master will likely have his or her own methods for sending Reiki distance healing. If you work with multiple healers, realize that their own personal methods will not affect the quality of your session. The one thing they all have in common is the use of the distance Reiki symbol to evoke the energies and send them where they need to go.
